Marian Chatfield earned a degree in interior design in 1989. After an internship at
a small design studio, she opened Chatfield Interiors in Massachusetts, specializing
in residential design. She and her husband relocated to Charleston in 1995.
Ms. Chatfield is a professional member of The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID)
and has been active in both the New England and Carolinas chapters.
In support of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra League and ASID,
Chatfield Interiors has decorated spaces in many CSOL/ASID Designers'
Show House
fundraisers. Working with the Post & Courier, she initiated a design
Question and Answer column which ran in their Sunday paper. Her work
has been published in local and national design magazines.
